Cleveland...Where Amazing Happens
It has been an amazing week in Cleveland sports. A city where bad reputations and traitors have left a bad taste in our sports fans' mouths. Well this week, we can see the light.
Sunday brought us our first victory with the HUGE win by the Browns. They played extremely well against the defending Super Bowl Champion, the New Orleans Saints, and were victorious. The game was filled with some great trick plays and an amazing performance by quarterback Colt McCoy and two touchdowns by David Bowens. Good job Brownies!

The next big news comes from the 2010 start of the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA season. The night before the Cavs opened their season, the Boston Celtics played the Miami Heat and beat them. LeBron James' team is now 0-1 with a loss to the Boston Celtics. The Celtics travel to Cleveland and the Cavaliers win. So the Cavaliers are 1-0 with a victory over the Boston Celtics. Talk about a slap in LeBron's face! Looks like there's no LBJ in TEAM. Suck on that your "highness." lol.

If I've learned anything during this week's celebration of victories, it is the importance of teamwork. The work of one man can be extraordinary, but the work of a team can be historic.

Here is a skeleton face with a spider on the left and a rat crawling out of the mouth on the right.

Pumpkin number two is a silhouette of a witch, cauldron, and a cat in the light of a cloudy full moon.

Jive Cleaver
I am sad to deliver the terrible news that Barbara Billingsley has died at age 94. She is famous for playing June Cleaver on the iconic 1950's show "Leave It to Beaver."

However, she is also famous for playing the woman who speaks Jive in the comedy Airplane! Watch this clip below. And just to let you know...as the Flyest White Boy in Cleveland, I also speak Jive.

The 33 Chilean miners that were stuck underground for 69 days have ALL been rescued. It is truly a miracle that these men are all safe and sound. Congratulations to the country of Chile, the miners and their families. It's great to finally hear about good news in the news.

I haven't seen anybody survive being stuck that deep since I watched Tommy Lee's sex tape. lol. Sorry, I had to. It's okay, that joke was only 'miner.' lol. Ok. I'm done.

Finally! Progress...I Just Hope It Sticks
Justice For All? Well...Justice For All for now.
A federal judge has put a ban on the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy that goes into effect immediately. The government has 60 days to appeal but sources say they don't see any reason they would. I hope that this step in the right direction keeps progress moving forward. I'd hate to see another Prop 8 fiasco take place. To read the entire article, click HERE.

Be Proud of Yourself
The nation has been stunned by the recent teen suicides that have been caused by bullying. Depressed, troubled teens who feel alone and degraded feel that there is no other way to live than to not live at all. The stories of teens around the nation have really made me feel sad and reflective upon my own experiences. I was once a victim of bullying and I was once someone who did consider suicide. I have never attempted to kill myself, but the thought has crossed my mind many times in my life. This topic really struck me when I read an article about my hometown and Alma mater, Mentor High School. There have been multiple cases of students who have been bullied and have taken their own lives.
The bottom line is this: Teenagers are cruel. Most adolescents are immature, shallow and know little about the world beyond their hometowns. This closed-minded view of the world causes teenagers to mock what is unfamiliar or different. If I could give any advice to ANYONE who is a victim of torment, talk to someone. The solution to my bully was changing my schedule. My classes were changed so that I didn't have to interact with those individuals who ridiculed me. I also took pride in myself. After high school, I went to college and really discovered the person and adult I wanted to be. And at the end of the day, when you are being yourself, people see it and they appreciate it. When you are honest to the person you are, people will respect it. If they don't, who cares! You only have one life to live and nobody can do the things u do but u. Appreciate the gifts you have been given and know that you were put on this earth to make history. Don't let anyone stop you from being a superstar. Let nobody tell u to be anything but urself. And don't let anybody make you feel like you aren't worth walking on this earth. Because to be honest, the people who are bringing others down will end up doing nothing with their lives anyway. You will look back at high school ten years from now and realize that those people who made you feel worthless will become worthless themselves. Hang in there. Talk about how you're feeling and know that you're not alone.

It's In the Stars...
Check out ur daily horoscope for today...
ARIES-Don't make snap judgments. A relationship may need some work, especially if you haven't been communicating well. You can't let anyone bully you, but be patient and try to understand both sides of any issue that arises.
TAURUS-Get your work done and out of the way quickly so you can do something with someone you like. A peer may try to make you look bad. Don't get involved in a war of words with someone who can affect your future.
GEMINI-Socializing, entertaining or networking will all bring about positive change. Offer valid information and well-thought-out strategy and you will avoid someone trying to strong-arm you into taking less or giving up too much.
CANCER-Don't make promises you cannot keep. You can expect to face adversity and opposition from someone you live with or who has jurisdiction over what you can and cannot do. Deal with the demands being put on you quickly, leaving time for fun with a friend or lover.
LEO-Getting together with a good friend will help you deal with any troubles you are facing at home. Personal conflicts can lead to physical exhaustion if you don't take a break and rethink your next move.
VIRGO-You can learn a lot about human nature from someone you feel akin to. Share your thoughts and experience and you will feel much better about your past, present and future. Expand your interests and your friendships
LIBRA-Don't let your emotions get the better of you. If someone pushes your buttons or makes you anxious, back away calmly until you have better control. Impulsive moves on your part will not solve anything.
SCORPIO-There will be underlying facts that you must face up to. If you haven't pulled your weight or done your share, now is a good time to offer something thoughtful and meaningful. Love will be enhanced if you speak from the heart.
SAGITTARIUS-Don't let old goals, ideas or hobbies keep you from excelling in the present. Once you know where your talent lies, you will have no trouble moving forward and incorporating your old plans with your new.
CAPRICORN-It isn't a bad thing to make a change, nor will it hurt your reputation to admit you might have made a mistake. It's what you do to correct anything you've done wrong that will count. The follow-up can be just as rewarding in the end.
AQUARIUS-Don't let love cloud your vision. Know in your heart what you must do and follow through. You will know how much you are loved by the support and acceptance you receive from the people to whom you are closest.
PISCES-You have to look at the big picture and decide what is the best scenario for you. Love and romance are on the rise. Wisdom regarding partnerships is the key. Recognize who is on your side and who isn't.

Good Sportmanship 85 Times Over
The Cleveland Browns achieved their first win of the season yesterday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Although his team was not victorious, Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco wanted to show that he wasn't a sore loser. He tweeted that the first 85 people to go to Cleveland's XO Prime Steakhouse would receive a dinner paid for by him. The man kept his word and he gave 85 people a free dinner. What a great guy. He said that he wanted to bring Bengals fans and Browns fans together, with no animosity. I guess a free steak dinner will help people put their team pride aside. haha. Now all we need to do is offer free steak dinners to the Middle East. lol. For more on this story, click HERE.
