My Black Roots...

Welp, it's official. I now know why I'm such a fan of the Black community. It's in my blood. I am 75% Slovenian in my ethnic background and I am proud to announce that the country of my ancestors has become the first Eastern European country to elect a Black official.

Slovenia has elected the first person of African descent to be the Mayor of the city of Piran. The man's name is Peter Bossman. He traveled to Slovenia from Ghana to study medicine and decided to stay. He said he fell in love with the country (who wouldn't). Not only am I excited to see the progress made in the country of my ancestors, but it is clear that my love of the Black community runs as deep as my bloodline.
